What is Mapboutique?

Mapboutique is geospatial data analysis and imaging software designed for use by individuals (on a desktop or laptop computer).

By using Mapboutique, you can save time on downloading, manipulating, processing, sharing and presenting GIS data. Also, you don't have to have an extensive background in geospatial science to use it.

Who should use Mapboutique?

Anyone who needs need to analyze, use and present geospatial information in a high quality, professional manner.


How much does Mapboutique cost?

There are two versions of Mapboutique: Standard and Advanced.

The Standard version costs $550. It has most of the features needed for basic map making and image editing.

The Advanced version costs $895. It has all of the features currently available from Mapboutique for conducting advanced data analysis and the associated creation of maps, images, etc.

What kind of customer support do you offer?

For all users, there is an extensive set of help files online.  For free trial software, users are welcome to review our online forum where you can ask questions. For the Standard and Advanced version users, email support is available to report malfunction.  For the Advanced version users, help files are also available on your computer.

How does licensing work?

The licensing of Standard and Advanced versions is per-computer. One (1) license of the Standard or Advanced version allows you to run it on one (1) computer at once. You can install the same license on a maximum of two (2) computers, but only one (1) of them can be running Mapboutique at the same time.

Licenses can be transferred to another computer as long as you uninstall the previous one. Re-installing Mapboutique on the same computer with the same license is allowed.

What about future upgrades?

For major upgrades (eg., version 2.0 to 3.0), all customers who purchased within 1 year of the upgrade release will get it for free. After 1 year, you can choose whether or not to purchase future upgrades, offered at a discount.

All minor updates (eg., version 2.0 to 2.1) are free forever for everyone.

How can I buy Mapboutique?

You can buy Mapboutique online with your credit card or PayPal. Once the payment is processed (usually with an hour), you will receive an email with your license key. Follow the instructions there to activate your copy of Mapboutique.
